Ransford-Yeboah Königsdorffer, a forward with the Black Stars, is happy with his explosive start to the German Bundesliga II season.
In Hamburger’s second game of the season, a 1-1 draw against Hertha Berlin, the 22-year-old scored his third goal of the year.
Hamburger gave his team the lead early on, but he was unable to hold onto it as Jonjoe Kenny scored with four minutes remaining to earn a point for the visitors.
“We controlled the game in the first half, both defensively and with the ball. We may have focused too much on maintaining that one-goal edge in the second half, as we were a little more passive,” he remarked following the game.
“We must improve moving forward since we’ve learned our lesson from this. Even though it’s regrettable that we weren’t able to cross the finish line today, four points is still acceptable, despite our clear preference for six.”
The striker, meanwhile, praised his management for having faith in him to spearhead the attack at the beginning of the season.
“I want to repay the gaffer for his faith in me with my performances because I’m happy with it. It’s fantastic that my experience is helping me grow as a player,” he said.
